Small Change is a Big Deal for Poster Printing Website

Matt and Rick Stephenson started a poster printing website three years ago. They thought the biggest advantage they would have over the competition was their site, PosterBurner.com, offered customers a tool to make poster collages as well as the ability to turn single pictures into posters. After months of touting their tool with lackluster results, they dropped the collage feature and focused more on customer service, reducing prices, and making the poster printing experience as easy as possible.
The change paid off. PosterBurner experienced rapid growth over the last year and there are no signs of that slowing. As they grew, customers began asking for a tool to make collage posters. The Stephenson brothers decided to redesign their collage tool and try again.
"The first time we tried doing poster collages the problem was that we didn't understand our customers yet. Through listening and trial and error, we were able to figure that out." says founder Matt Stephenson. "When we re-launched the collage tool, we knew how to do it in a way that the customers would approve of and the response has been amazing."
While it was only released two weeks ago, Stephenson says that collage posters have accounted for roughly a third of poster orders since they became available. “This has been a real game changer for us,” say the brothers.
PosterBurner.com is a US based website that offers custom poster printing. The Stephenson brothers also operate a canvas printing website (RoyalCanvas.com) that they launched earlier this year.
