How to make a pole for my poster bed t match the others using foam or mold?
I have a four poster bed with two posters missing. I want to make the other two myself but want them to match. Does anyone know how to do this with mold or foam and what kind of equipment and ingredients to make the poster before painting and installing. Thanks

You have to make a template of the post you want to copy. Cutout a length of cardboard the same as the length of the post to copy. Create a shadow of the post onto the cardboard using a light and trace the outline with a dark colored sharpie. Cut the outline out and this is the template you would give to the lathe operator. Doing this by hand is too difficult and challenging. It can be done with a lathe operator that has years of experience in turning wood. I believe your project is very time consuming and you would be better off shopping around for (4) matching posts that suits your taste and scrap the idea of making 2 new ones.
